  any guideline to partition hardisk?

  I want to partitiion my hardisk to two drive,however i have all program installs already as i know partition is important.

  any free tools to do the jobs?

  you never say what is the size of hard disk you got.

  if you are using vista, there is a free tool built in.

  For that, I believe you need a software like Norton Partitionmagic or Acronis to partition the hard disk. And make sure you have a steady power supply. Your data may be gone if the power supply is interupted. Back up your important work documents.

  fdisk?

  Window XP

  go to command prompt and type "diskmgmt.msc" and press enter.

  can't remember if this can do partitioning...U go see see...

  Mine is using Window Vista basic

  Currently is 160gb hardisk and only one partition

  Window vista have tool?

  may i know how?

  2. Type in Partition

  You need to be an admin in order to do this. No, you do not need any programmes, it's in built in vista

  Np.

  Why run faster? It's most probably that the os has it's own separate space and programmes has it's own separate spec, thus it would not be so fragmanted and thus, it's faster
