Can you uninstall SP1 in Safe Mode?
i uinstalled sp1 liao
i think its drivers problems, the drivers are not compatible with sp1. ask my frens with similiar modelsi f theirs hang...nope because they do not have SP1!
like that must screw m$ liao....make me keep on press the off button to restart the damn thing.
Not MS problem. MS long warn about the drivers problems liao.
Go to your lappy website and find updated drivers. Install and restart. Then try installing SP1 again.
eww no ty
idun want go try i am better off without sp1 >.<
anyway, my vista loads into desktop then theres no hourclass(the circle thing) loading but after a while, it refrehses itself and got the hourclass again then finally load finish, how to get rid of that?
Try restarting?
Usually, after installing service pack and uninstalling service pack is like this one.
try liao same =(
i see the cursor a bit buay song sia...
LOL...
Let it be.
If it slows down, clean up all your temp files and cache. Then do a defrag.
defrag damn long sia
nvm use ccleaner clean it up rawr
Personally i feel that SP1 is quite an essential patch. i think the first time u installed, it wasn't installed properly and that is causing all those problems. don't be traumatised by it yet, give SP1 another try. haha...
And defragging may take a long time, but it is a good habit to defrag once in a while. I usually defrag my pc overnite, the next day it would be done.

haha, avg about 3hours for me...
Yea, i agree, never use ccleaner to clean it up the registry!
anyway
i think its hardware issue liao
the problem came hauting me back the next morning after i uninstall SP1.
went to the online technician to ask and they made it worst....cannot even boot.
reformatted, same problem happened again.
bringing it to the customer service centre soon >.<
Hmm, downloading the latest drivers directly from Acer/ Manufactuers shall ensure a smooth transition from vista to vista sp1.
I had no issues when i installed sp1 on my laptop - the only thing is that it took quite a long time for it to install... way way long.

There might be also drivers that have issues with sp1 but was not listed in the list above. So you could have been affected.
Then it doesn't look like an SP1 issue. Might as well get them to re-image your Vista or re-install XP on it.
i know of mine, hanging after prolonged usage -- where by my explorer.exe goes mad and encounters a problem and needs to close.
Hmm, could it be similar?
Mine no issues, except for the damn WMP memory leak which I must call up MS for a fix.
Too lazy to do so, so I let it be. Memory leaks start, restart computer. Usually occurs after I use WMP for a whole day.
SP1 seems to improve performance significantly, except for the first few days. It was slow. Use for a few days, everything improve.
This is lovely.
after saying i am going to the customer service centre, the lappie woke up its idea and work for me -_-
Should threaten it more. LOL
A start of a "beautiful" friendship
erm.. sorry.. im using vista premium.. is sp1 working ok? im nt sure thou if im havin it either...
