How to choose a good Subwoofer?

I'm a Subwoofer noob, don't know how to choose which one is good......

See how u wanna use ur woofer
for normal soft-medium listening, those normal that u see altec lansing, those is enough, bt if turn up the volume, the woofer might not take it
If you are those like me, use for real entertainment, get size which is bigger, so when lower frequency bass comes in(earthquake sound effects, etc) it can be heard 10" or above would be veri loud for home use

for home use, im using quite an old one, because bought it alot of years ago, still veri strong,Make: Infinity Model: BU-120, bought is as it is under harmon kardon, and heard that it is veri good company
for computer use, using some china brand

no need subwoofer one lar, waste of space imo. juz get a stereo set with mini woofers. then use your ears to listen lor.

i went to audio house then got someone to put my whole audio system together for me. you can do that do.. just let them know your budget and needs.
