help with logging into windows

help! i've forgotten the password to my computer. cant enter windows. is there anyway to remedy this? yes i noe it sounds stupid.....but it happened. any idea?

press F8 when booting
go safe mode
log in admin acc
go cmd
type net user "ur acc name" *
it will prompt u for new pass, type a pass, press enter, if dunwan pass, just press enter
press enter again to confirm

To log in to admin acc, key in "adminstrator" in the username box and leave the password box blank.
