I've got a problem which is when is my psp card ,it is 4gb,sandisk.
i highlight all my documents in psp,the total memory shown is 1.55 gb.
however,e empty space stated is only 345 mb.
Why is this so wen my card id 4gb?
is it bcos the card is corrupted?i tried formatting e card but dosent seem to work.
last time my micro sd 2gb also got this 1gb used up issue. the kingston people told me the card reader gotta be able to support large memory cards in order to format and use.. well..
but previously i used it for 2mths+ ,got no such problems.
is it bcos e card 'spoilt' or anything?
oh.. mine was a new card.. if yours have been working and now suddenly like that.. it's time to seek the warranty!
It must be the hidden files taking up the excess space.
ohh, cos i bot the 1 yr warranty for the psp.
so e card actually includes warrant for most cases?
like wad hidden files?

maybe you state your brand of card and depend on ur card la.. I not psp user.. so I don't really know.. for kingston cards they sort of have life time warranty..
I don't believe is hidden files la.. you format that time if got hidden files also will be exterminated lo.. unless write protected but if write protected you can't even format it.
so I think most likely your card spoilt. and warranty valids only if you justify the use of your card.. if you know what I mean..
Did you formatted your MS on your PC using an older card reader before? I had the same problem with my 2GB SD Card too. Had used an older card reader to format it and after that the SD card had only 1 GB of space. Later I found that my card reader can only recognise up to 1GB SD cards. I had to buy a new card reader and to download an SD formatter from Panasonic to recover the missing 1 GB. I dunno if Sony provides any MS formatter like the one from Panasonic to reset the card to factory default.
