helloo.. i'll be travelling to taiwan and will be bringing my laptop for work purposes. checked the online reviews and to my surprise, there's free internet connection there though not wifi.
they said it's connect with cat 5 connection cable but i dont know what it is or how it looks like. i'm using a silver macbook pro so are there any ports on my lappy that i can connect to tap the free net?
if not, how to solve the problem?
many thanks.
CAT 5 connection cable is a normal network cable. It's the same one that is used to connect from the cable modem to your wireless router (assuming you are using 2 separate devices).
It looks like this:

hmmm my macbook pro apparently has such a connection port something like a enlarged version of the telephone plug. hopefully it's the right one?

Yes. On the Macbook Pro, it is the socket between the DVI connector and the Firewire port.
