Recently,i just formated my C drive only. But ,it still lags when using IE.sometyms, theres the IExplorer.exe errror!?
So,why is it so ??
How do i format my D drive? Is it jus right clicking the D drive and click formaT?but it can't work for mine comp.
As for the formatting, in Windows XP, right click on My Computer and then select manage. A window called Computer Management should appear. Under the sotrage category, look for disk management. You can format the drive from there.
The D drive and C drive are partitions of a hard drive of a computer. The D drive -- It's normally, Empty.
The C drive normally contains the operating system of the computer, thus, it doesnt matter if you reformat the D drive or not.
Anyways i need more details about the IExplorer.exe error are there any numbers that goes with that error or is it only IExplorer.exe error?

I'm wondering whether your D: drive could be a system partition or a recovery partition. Can you briefly describe how you did your re-formatting for your C: drive?

It should be the system boot method (oem), judging from how the Ts have said that he/she reformatted her c drive only
I'm not sure how the C drive was formatted cos i was not the one who did it.If i'm not wrong ,it should be when starting up the computer, the person hit the F2(not sure) button.
I tried right clicking the D drive and click format.i ticked "quick format".After which, theres this box that says " windows cannot format this drive.Quit and disk utilities or other programs that are using this drive, and make sure that no window is displaying the contents of this drive.then try formatting again."
I'm very sure i have closed all the IE and other stuffs.
I'm don't think there was any numbers but it there seemed to be a win32 thing.
Show error message please...

Try going to safe mode by rapidly pressing F8 button when starting up around where the OS logo and a moving progress bar (only the latter for vista) would appear. Select "Safe Mode" and do the same thing. Restart it to get back to normal mode.

then there is no ned to reformat that partition.
Btw, mine telling me more about the IExplorer.exe error?
I am unsure if there is any virus in the D drive. Because i reformatted the C drive, but using internet is still laggy (lk hanging for a few secs)...
I'm not sure why there's this Iexplorer.exe thing.
There's this Iexplorer.exe box.
So it states click ok to terminate ,debug prog etc...
so if i click ok,the window i'm using will close by itself.

Mine is laggy too. It would eat up a lot of memory if go to places like here or youtube. Worse if I were to use firefox because of the restore tab/session thing. Can tell from the CPU usage in the Task Manager and the processor fan being noisy.
Lack of memory and/or processing power could be the cause of it. Memory leak could also be the problem.
