heya, i had a problem with my friend's laptop connecting to my router..
she had no problem connecting yesterday, but today, when her laptop tries to look for connection, it can't find any..
then we try moving the laptop right next to the router, it can find the connection but the signal strength is very low, saying it has no signal..
i had no problem connecting to the router myself.. anyone can help?
check the laptop's signal str
go to device manager> open the properties of your wireless adapter card>advance tab
make sure that transmit power and power management is to the max.
check your routers's signal strength
go to your router's config page and make sure that the high gain antenna broadcast in a
sphere radius instead of one direction braodcast ( one dir broadcast has its advantage but
wont help much here). then check that the router is operating at 100% wattage.
*edit: changed "dome" to "sphere"
changed wireless card's setting le, still no connection
unable to find the high gain antenna broadcast in a sphere radius setting in the router's config leh..btw im using linksys router
no signal aka not connected. double check and make sure the lappy is connected to the correct SSID and the password entered is correct.

IF your own laptop is getting good signal, and hers is getting crappy one, it could be that...
the laptop's antennae connectors could be loose or detached. Need "surgery" to reattach. Im not kidding.
she's bringing her laptop to the service centre tml, hopefully everything will be fixed =D
thankyou guys who tried to help out haha
