Hey guys, can I know what's the difference between these two? My msn file sharing is disabled, so I tried troubleshooting and found out it's because my system is FAT.
I tried converting it from FAT to NTFS but there was one step which is:
The type of the file system is FAT32.
Enter the current volume label for drive C:
What does this means? And what is the thing which I must key in to continue? Thanks in advance!
Another question: is it recommended that I convert all my drives to NTFS? Currently only my D drive is and my C and E are FAT32.
To share files in MSN, using NTFS or not doesn't matter.
As for the label...
Start > Run and enter in cmd.exe
In Command Prompt, enter in dir
You will see...
Volume in drive C has no label.
That's your answer. Most of us doesn't use a label by default.
NTFS is more robust tht FAT/FAT32.U can use the con command form DOS for tht.
if u dnt know wht u r dng, well be careful.
What do you mean by more robust?
So should I change all my drives to NTFS?
Enter the current volume label for drive C:
Just type in whatever name you prefer for your C:
Like "SuperDuckwin's Castle, Mighty Dragonball Vault or Michael Disk1"
