hi, are there any singnet broadband users using vista?

nope... normalbroadband 3 mbps
I mean the modem... Is it the Mio modem thingy?
Could you give more details about the installation CD? What is it for?
Best thing is, just try installing. If incompatible, the worst is the software won't run properly, in which case, just uninstall it.

installation cd is called smartwizard... its to install the modem to the comp so that the internet works.
coz im going to get a new comp tonight and im undecided whether to get vista or xp
i would like to have vista coz im bored of the xp interface...
There's no need to use their program to connect to Singnet... plug in the cables and follow the modem manual to set it up...

correct me if I am wrong...but the CD provided by Singnet is not installation CD...its just a CD with a program that helps people to have an easier time setting up their connection...if the user knows how to do the manual way...then the CD is useless.

There should be no need to install the modem drivers as once you plug the R34 cable ( modem cable) it will automatically be detected by your computer and you will be able to surf the net.
However, installing modem software could be a benefit, as these drivers allow you to configure your modem through the software, without "logging in" to your modem
My experience with using CD - crap. It doesn't work. All it's capable of is misconfiguration.
Plug in the cables, enter in 192.168.1.1 into your web browser, enter username and password as given in the manual, follow the on-screen instructions and you are done. It's only a few clicks.
