  need hlp here..

  i type the product key all teh way until the last digit while activation.. then they put
  the key is incorrect verify if u have the correct key.. how?

  that should not be the case.

  is the cd a standard copy or is it an OEM/MLK edition?

  a MLK/OEM edition would require an OPK media kit for it to install.

  I m not too sure if someone using the same registered product code would have caused this.

  Best if you ring up/visit  your dealer.

  What do you mean by free? Who did you get it from?

  If you didn't buy it yourself, activation will not work. MS doesn't like that.

  Does the copy of MS Office you are trying to activate comes with the computer, or have you installed it yourself from the CD? There's a difference...

  Btw, did u get it from a school vendor?

  it does not come with a disc ( just the cd key in the cd box)

  You are supposed to have a disc. The MS office on the laptop is most likely just the trial version. Go back to the vendor and ask for the disc.

  MS doesn't offer freebie for things they wanna sell. They only offer freebie addons, which extends the functionality of their products.

  then, that would be an oem edition.

  you need to get a OPK media kit for it to install
