Sonic gear any good?
Or any other good ones that you have seen?
Thanks.
altec lansing
Altec Lansing ATP3 - i think its $69.
Its a step forward from using integrated speakers
I use Sonic Gear and it seems ok to me. However, the left and right speakers are not indicated so you will have to test them yourself.

U can check around Sim Lim Square for the speakers,as i believe they're still popular though phased out i heard.
PS:Check the top floor firsts, unless ur a carrot head :p
the best for your buck would be to up ur budget to $340 and get a mx5021+ a Creative XtremeGamer sound card, best performance to value in the market i wld say.
damn good imo, cos no point going for a set of speakers if ya jus using a onboard sound card.
but if ur budget cant up, den get the atp3 lo but i tink EOL liao
Sonic Gear and Altec Lansing... they are cheap and good.

Ya,but its damn popular because of the good quality at cheap price.
TS, so what is the purpose of your speakers? Is it majority for movies, gaming, or music listening?
guys, thanks for all inputs. A friend recommended divoom x3. So far its performance is beyond my expectations. and its sub 100 too :)
Highly recommended! (For those who don't know, its the exactly the same as Sonic gear's ammagadon 5.)
divoom... mine had the woofer bottom out and made nasty scrapping noises after a month.. and no, i wasent using it on max volume and bass.... this divoom unit was just purchased n tested for fun.. all my "serious" units are all altec systems..

haha maybe u were unlucky bah. anyway it comes with 1 year warranty. Serveral of my friends also using divoom and they had no problems.
anyway, I recommended this set is because it has good bass (6.5" woofer) 2 mid drivers which provides clear mids. (this is a great advantage over many creative, logitech and altec's 2.1 system coz after listening to them, setting their treble and bass to min, all you hear is muffled mids.) Also, there is a tweeter for decent highs. seriously loving the music it is providing right now.
Of coz if you were to compare to $2-300 sets it pales, but if comparing to those in its price range, I'd say its a good buy.
I would recommend Altec Lansing VS2321/4121.
Of course, if you have $$, you should always aim the Klipsch or Aego.
you guys seen the new Razer 2.1 system? damn godly, going to hoot it when i return to singapore

i seen a number of reviews that mention that the bass is kind of weak mactching up with the sats.

lol watever it is im glad tat ur happy with ur purchase. but in any case it blows up like mine.. i too strongly recommend the VS2321.. the woofer never seems to bottom out. go test drive that demo unit at plaza singapura best denki.. the woofer ish pro.. =)
Altec Lansing.

Other than that, the quality it produces are pretty amazing for that price. I have listened to Bose and Altec Lansing 2321. Seriously, both produce similar sound quality--except Bose bass is heavier.

yes. vs2321 is really good... but i need a wired controller... and I need a pair of black ones lol... you know... so as not to ruin the desktop colour theme.
anyway, for those recommending Altec, keep away from VS2421... sux to the core. due to the build in speaker, the satelites will produce frequent irritating noise that will make you go crazy.
I saw 1 set of 2.1 speakers going at 30$(not sure pricing, but i know its lesser than 50$) at challenger. Its having black/silver colour one.
jumboy

ah shit so that noise will be there forever????
yea boy. forever there. there is a way to get rid of that noise though....
Just turn the treble off to the minimum ... lol u'll get rid of the noise together with all the highs
some say that by placing the wired controls far far away can solve the problem but that doesn't work for me.
but if your ears arent that sensitive.. .then its ok lol.
sad man..i tot its jus the wiring and will go off after i have bigger space to place all my things...its quite irritaing man
