  wont be as straight as a scanner
  wont be as crisp due to handshake
  wont be as colourful as scanner due to poorer lighting conditions
  wont be balanced in brightness due to your shadow blocking when taking the shot
  
  All the above can make a photoshot of paper become lousy

  If ur camera has a macro mode,you can give it a try.but matching a scanner quality is hard.

  How about using a OCR software to read the characters off the document in a digital photo and paste it into a Word document?
