  hi, i wanna format my com and when I right click on my D drive,
  
  there is a word 'format' there can any kind  soul pls tell me what does it do?
  
  i dun wanna crash my com any help wud be much appreciated

  format means wipe out all data permanently

  i wanna delete only the things i download but not harm the laptop in any way izit possible?

  coz when i go fix my com, the ppl will put the adobe photo shop and some other stuff in i wanna keep those
  
  can i make it like when i juz got i repaired? with nothing cept for the things they put in?

  Use CCleaner to delete unused data from your computer. Dont mess with the registry though.

  reformat lor...
  
  1. prepare all software and drivers that you need
  
  2. get your OS CD ready
  
  3. boot the OS CD in DOS and delete away the old main parition (usually C:\)
  
  4. create and format a new partition out to use
  
  5. install your OS on the new partition
  
  6. reinstall all drivers and software
  
  7. Patch
  
  correct me if I'm wrong.

  ok the reason why i wanna format is becos i cant take SS in maplestory
  my frend say if format rdy then can take if anybody plays maple, can pls tell me
  how to take screenshots? cos when i press the SS button, they juz say
  'U CANNOT TAKE SCREENSHOTS AT THIS MOMENT, PLS TRY AGAIN LATER'

  Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint

  Printscreen works in laptops.
