There are so many laptops in the IT Show that are below 2K. I have no idea how one can miss out.
NEC, Acer, Lenovo, Axxio, True Note, Suzuki are some of the few.
i saw asus for 1.198k. e asus staff holding e board walking here n dere promoting tat model. haha.
yeah there were a lot of models by other companies.. but we went for durability..so brought toshiba..

hmmm..best get outside laptop..all a bit too heavy..remindin u guys that u all will be carryin the laptop to poly almost everyday
yeah lenovo is good..but the only flaw is the design...it's always the same black on the outside but good on the inside:)

Er, I'm now holding on to a acer travelmate 6292. I saw the previous posts abt acer not being able to last till warranty end or will die just after warranty end. and i just realise my warranty only last for a yr, can i extend it even after i bought it?
Never heard of that. I doubt if you can do so.

you can call up acer and check with them.
Most probably if your warranty has not expired, you can do so.

dun get too worried about it la..as long u take good care of yr travelmate then there shouldn't be any problem..well there are still SOME exceptional cases where their acer has lasted for a long period of time(:
