SOE lor... but still waiting for enrollment letter..
gaming ah.. Solitaire considered as gaming? wahjong or maybe CounterStrike ?
RP eh?The specs are nearly identical to SP's.
I suggest the HP Pavillion DV6700(which i myself is about to get too lol) since it has the latest Intel's Next Generation Wireless-N network LAN
Also,HP said that the notebooks ceritfy Intel's Centrino technology.
PS: The specs are slightly wrong btw,as HP's catalogue states Penryn processors for the dv6700 and the b1200,and Merom for the other 2.

Compaq Presario B1200
i prefer small n light lappies.
eh im going rp also! i also dunno what to choose. i'd like to hear from the experts here. :)
Here are the correct specifications
Compaw V3700
Intel 4925AGN Wireless N
Compaq B1200
Intel Core 2 Duo T8100
(2.10Ghz,3MB L2 cache,800Mhz FSB)
HP Pavillion dv6700
Intel Core 2 Duo T8300
(2.30Ghz,3MB L2 cache,800Mhz FSB)
Intel 4925AGN Wireless N
15.4" LCD
Same goes for SP,i dont know why both their details are wrong.

OK. Those games ar... every laptop also can play.
SOE... hmm not sure what they are doing, but might need lots of hard disk space and reading drawings.
I suggest getting Compaq Presario V3700.

State the course you are doing and what you need it for, like gaming, video editing, etc.

DBA student...
HP 520 Notebook PC would be fine... might want to ask for a RAM upgrade from HP though... ask Photoshop is RAM hungry.

Its subsidied by the Government, which is why reselling of the laptop during the duration of the course is strictly prohibited.
BTW,RP laptops get a little boost - all laptops's OS will be changed to Vista Enterprise so u dont have to contend with Basic for cheaper models.
All laptops sold at the Laptop Roadshow are preinstalled with Windows Vista Enterprise operating system
actually i quite gian in B1200. but scare that the small screen i cannot adapt to it. cos now using 22" LCD..
btw the insurance good anots?
Vista Enterprise is almost the same as Vista Home Basic, but with Business and Ultimate features for managing users.
I never did buy the insurance, neither have I heard anything from people who buy them.

B1200 goods bohs?
Specs wise, good enough. But I don't like small screens. Not unless you want to spoil your eyes.

btw mayi,does Enterprise have Aero?
Originally posted by twists:cos quite light i see it leh..

No more Fujitsu as far as I'm aware.
btw mayi,does Enterprise have Aero?
Nope, as I've said earlier, Vista Enterprise is almost the same as Vista Home Basic, but have features of Vista Business and Ultimate solely for managing users. Thus it doesn't have any fancy features. Things such as Bitlock, Group Policy Editor, ability to connect to a Windows domain is available in Vista Enterprise. But just no Aero and other fanciful stuffs.
