Hi, I posted a topic about this in December 07.
I posted this now cause Sgforums wouldn't send me my account password that time.
Since that time, I still get BSOD very often. It's driving me crazy!
Mayi when you asked me to do a memory test, it's fine.
Then install window updates, it's a .NET Framework 2.0 update.. once I installed the update and when my computer starts,
window updates icon on my taskbar appears and when I download the update. It's the same NET Framework update.
When I installed the update, and start my comp again that same update will appear.
I got BSOD 4 times (since 1 hour ago).
Any solutions?
Edit : Whenever I get BSOD, I often see this message "IRQ not equal or less", it was "Driver IRQ not equal or less" the last BSOD.
It happens after the update or ?
No, when I posted the topic that time I haven't updated.
It happened for very long already, I remember it started in December.
The last you posted, it worked fine, then problems occur again.
Go to Start > Run and type in msinfo32.exe and press Enter.
Under Hardware Resources, select Conflicts/Sharing. See what hardware is sharing resources with your nVidia graphics card.
You mean that time when I updated my driver? Yeah, but only for awhile.
It wasn't gone actually.
Anyway here's what it says.

Edit : I don't know how to read that file.
So any solutions for the BSOD?
You using wired or wireless connections?
Using wired.
Hmm... it's just a rough guess only.
Disable your LAN connections (Start > Control Panel > Network Connections, right click on your connection and select Disable).
Then restart your computer. Use it as usual, but without the internet connections. See if it still BSOD.
Alright will try that tomorrow, thanks.
If I got problem I will post it here again, if you can't really help guess I have to reformat then.
Looks like plugging out my Internet cable worked.
Before starting up my comp I plugged out the cable.
Started Windows, no BSOD so I plugged it back.
So far 3 and a half hours no BSOD.
Seems like it is solved.
Think your suggestion worked.
Although I am not 100% sure whether it's fixed.
Ty anyway
Guess it's some conflicts between the ethernet port and the graphics card. They are sharing the same resources, so I need you to plug out the cable and disable your network connections temporarily.
Hmmm.. it was fine for the past 2 days but today the damn BSOD is back.
Even with my internet cable unplugged, when started windows I suddenly get BSOD.
Got BSOD more than 4 times, most of time when browsing the internet and half-way get BSOD.
Could it be caused by GameGuard?
LOL
For BSOD to keep occurring, only two reasons.
1. Problem not solve
2. Hardware issue. Hardware instability can lead to bad requests, causing Windows to crash.
You can try a repair install to minimize damage to your files, just need to reinstall all the programs.

I think newer versions of GameGuard do not really cause BSOD...
It will depend on which version of graphics card that driver is talking to. Talk to a stubborn one, that's what you get.

Have you installed the latest driver from GeForce, ForceWare Release 169 released in December 19?
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_169.21_whql.html
Uninstall your old driver and install the new driver.
Let us know if it helps.
Yeah, I installed that long ago that's why I didn't update.
My driver is currently the latest (169.21).
That time I updated my driver still get BSOD, will try repairing Windows.
Why not email their technical support?
They should know better on how to solve your problems.
Might not even be nVidia issue.
I think Realtek might be causing the problem. They have an udpated driver.
Download the drivers from one of these sites:
1. ftp://210.51.181.211/cn/nic/PCIE_Install_5686(installshield%2012_1.16)_0219.zip
2. ftp://152.104.238.19/cn/nic/PCIE_Install_5686(installshield%2012_1.16)_0219.zip
3. ftp://61.56.69.18/cn/nic/PCIE_Install_5686(installshield%2012_1.16)_0219.zip
Unzip the file and run setup.exe file.
What brand & model motherboard you using?
Updated my Realtek driver but still got BSOD.
I am using P35-DS3R, computer is built by shop.
Will try to uninstall NVIDIA driver and install again.
If there is no solution, I will format C:/ today.
why not uninstall the new NVIDIA driver and install the old NVIDIA driver?
there are new drivers for you Gigabyte motherboard, maybe you can try updating some of these drivers too.
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=2543
there are also new BIOS upgrade.
BUT i won't advise you to update the BIOS,
because if you didn't do the update properly,
you could end up with a not usable motherboard.
