What is the best way to retrieve the files in a dead laptop?

  Laptop cannot be switched on... any good ideas on how to retrieve data from harddisk?

   

  1 way is to buy an external casing and use the hdd as external drive (sim lim is most likely close today...)

   

  Any easier/ faster/ cheaper method?

  well, the easiest & fastest way is to take out the hd & plug it into an external drive. Don't think there is another way... if you can't wait to buy one why don't you call up your friends to check out if they have one.

  you don't have to go all the way to sim lim to buy the casing ... anyone who has it can lent it to you ... its the fastest and the cheapest ...
