Which one better?

  Buying a branded full desktop set like Acer/HP/Compaq/Dell
  as compared to
  building a separate CPU using some of my old stuff like CD Writer(I want a new DVD...+new hardisk but accompanied with my old one), not to forget to get a new LCD and also 2.1 speakers.

  Which one is cheaper? then how about specs? Cause, I want the PC to do at least play games like World In Conflict, able to use photoshop/premiere pro etc.
  
  I am not a serious gamer, but I hope if I can see some good games, then i can buy and straightaway play.

  My current PC's graphics card CMI...cannot play any games like WIC >.>

  Cheaper should be Custom made. Just get a top end graphica card and maybe add some RAM and there u have it

  Custom will be cheaper. you can decide where to cut corners like maybe the casing and zhng to your specs.

  But, the cost can be quite expensive too if you get Top of the line items. +not to mention kanna cut and chop by people unknowningly.

  For Acer/Hp/Dell, (computer manufacturers) I would recc dell. Quality wise not as bad as people think. I have a dell in my school that i use regularly, and it doesnt feel laggy or there's a little lag, when i use photoshop ect. Get this If price is the issue. If not Hp Desktops Are about 1.7k. Inclusive of 19inch Lcd.

  but the casing I see before all CMI one.

   

  Then if I were to go and buy, which shop? Do I write it down on a list then they take the items or what?

  Just go sim lim square..can buy those custom made for you alrdy...

  Or u can just take out your hard disk and CD R burner, with you, and go to some shop, ask the guys there help u build a DIY PC,tell them what you looking for, but include your these 2 HDD and burner.
