LAPPY . .

  Hi.

  I am thinking of getting another lappy for myself.  The last one I got, SONY Vios, I don't quite like it.  So asking for expert opinion now..  with a buget of $1800.00 what would you guys recommend ?

  Wait up.

  Vista service pack 1 is coming. Speculate arnd feb and march.

  So i suggest you wait till then to get these laptops.

  There are also various speculations that Vista SP1 won't be around Feb or March. Because RTM is so buggy, SP1 cannot be a disappointment as well otherwise it will affect sales.

  SONY IS GOD LIKE!

  my acer ( after using for 3 years ) start to have problems..

  the com won't start up, if start up, after a while become white screen.. some funny sounds and auto off..

  damn sad

  paiseh !  got it from the last IT show but find it too small for my fat fingers... passed to my daughter, so want to get another one .. this time half the cost lor ...   I saw the Acer, like very "lau du " ...

  Sound like my first laptop, NEC but I used it for 5 years ...

  If for surfing, any laptops out there will suit your needs.

  I would not look for a good one because laptop hardware really don't last as well as a PC hardware.

  A Core 2 Duo (which is common these days) is more than enough for surfing.
