For pure PHP code, it will be phpDesigner. Otherwise, if it's meshed with all those HTML tags, I use Dreamweaver.

By the way, Notepad++ got syntax highlighting.

Just no automation.

Is that why some people prefer IDEs over text editors?

a host of other things as well ... you can do team development with CVS, you get FTP support, libraries, plug-ins etc etc ....
