cannot launch scanner =/

  i very often encounter this problem
  that the scanner refuses to launch
  and tells me insufficient memory
  
  i oredi close all applications
  
  and i checked the virtual memory
  it's oredi set to initial size 1024, max size 2048
  
  my RAM is 512
  
  the same scanner/printer (Canon 160) when doing printing job has no probem...
  
  i need to scan some stuff

  Can you try reinstalling the software for it.
  
  Also make sure it's the latest. Check Canon webbie.

  i turned off my laptop and on it again
  and then can oredi
  it is mafan but it works this way
  
  do u think it is installation problem?
  
  i am a bit reluctant to uninstall....

  No idea.
  
  One guess.
  
  Kill Explorer, restart it and try scanning again.
  
  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to bring up Task Manager
  
  2. Locate explorer.exe and click End Process
  
  3. Click on File > New Task (Run...) and type in explorer.exe again

  is it canon? if it is, uninstall and reinstall the drivers can le..everytime it does the same thing to me
