hi,
anyone here using [ur]www.blogger.com[/url] for their blog?
i'm having some troubles as in sometimes when i upload a big picture, blogger will automatically resize it smaller when displayed on the blog.
but sometimes when one click on the picture to enlarge it, it will show this 9see below)
the picture will not load and one have to click back, do a refresh and click on the picture again, sometimes if one is lucky the picture will load, otherwise it will just show the name of the pic?
any advise on how to solve this? -
I have some problems loading pictures into blogger as well. Sometimes after I load it, people who view my blog can't enlarge the pic.
I now upload to photobucket and link my pictures to my blog. Works for me

I am not too sure if this will work.

maybe using IE7 can solve the problem?

I think its blogger's own problems. Last time I used blogger's picture loading aso got this problem. Then I switched to Photobucket.

blogger resize the picture regardless of how big the picture is into a standard size and the thumbnail quality is very good. just that the stupid thing is that they cannot display the picture in bigger resolution. -
what image are u uploading?
if u want it to be auto resize, try Flickr or photobucket.
I know Flickr does very good auto sizing[thumbnails] for pictures.
theres another way which is insert the image into a website editor,[dreamweaver/frontpage] resize ur image by shifting the edges, ur picture won't be distorted then. -

blogger doesn't seems to have an email address to send complains/bugs/questions to.
in their known issues section they say they know about the problem and fixed it (see below)
the new coding also doesn't solve the problem.
Clicking on image uploaded through the post editor will show a file download box instead of showing the full-size image in the browser. We are currently working to fix this issue. In the meantime, a workaround is to make two changes to the first URL in the image tag:
Update, 12/4: We pushed a fix for this late last night. Uploaded image click-throughs now work correctly again.
1. Replace "-R" with "-h".
2. Replace the image location folder (preceeding something like "s1600-R") with the folder in the second URL.

yes indeed Flickr is very good in resizing but the medium resize they can give me is (500 x 375) but blogger wisth is only 460 in width. thus a portion of the picture will be cut off.Originally posted by Y_Shun:what image are u uploading?

Gordon, 500px x 375px is only as a reference. I use tt for my own pics at blogger. And you can always widen you template width to suit your needs. Or go for wordpress since it offers more customisations.

4:3 resize, 2048x1536, 1600x1200, 1280x960, 1024x768, 800x600, 640x480, 500x375, 460x345
For magazine scans (usually):
500x715, 460x613 -
yes abao i understand. but the problem is still the same, not matter how u adjust the width, height, percentage the image will still be distorted.
the thumbnail quality will never be as nice as Flickr or blogger.
but after playing around with various methods i have finally found the perfect way to solve the problem.
i use the thumbnail generated by blogger and use photobucket to display the bigger picture. -
