I'm not sure how this will affect MySQL... I don't want to see much changes... like when MS acquires some company and breaks things... -
I'm just worried that it may become closed-source someday. Many, many people are adept with the LAMP web platform now, and if that happens...argh.

It should still be free. If it's not free, it's about the same as MSSQL and Oracle.
