Help With DigiCamcorder!!

  So anyway, I got this Sony Digital Video Camera Recorder.
  
  And I can't seem to make it work.
  
  I mean, I inserted those small discs,8cm DVD-RW I think and it read error. The manual says, i must format the discs first before recording...
  
  Now, they didn't say format where. Computer or the recorder itself.
  
  I am not sure whether the problem lies the discs or me.
  
  Maybe am suppose to use different discs?
  
  Hmm ok, sorry if this is not IT stuffs... but its technical...

  Then try format on com lo. You'll need a DVD burning software, I suppose.
