if you not sure about codec, it is best that you just stick with mp3 format......
You'll have to burn the music files as audio, not data, and be limited by the standard capacity of 80 minutes per CD. There will not be any compression format to choose from. You should be able to find an option to burn an audio CD if you poke your CD burning program / Windows Media Player long and hard enough.
