What's wrong??

Ok,I pressed the power button to switch on my cpu but however my monitor doesnt show up anything but a blank screen. I have to keep pressing the cpu's power button loads of time so that the monitor will respond and show the start up. Is this problem related to my cpu or my monitor??

is there light on ur cpu power button when u turn on? and is there any beeps from ur cpu?

there's light but no beep sound.

Turn off all power. Wait for a few minutes. Then go behind your CPU and check that the cables are not loose.

Do the same for the monitor.

Wait a while again then start up the computer. See if it works.

If it doesn't... please take note if you hear any beeps.

the beep u mention,issit a good thing or a bad thing? My pc,it will have a short beep indicating everything is alright. A while ago,i've been pressing the cpu's power button umpteen times just to have that beep.

If all the while it has a short beep to indicate that everything is all right, then it's OK. But if has some other kinds of beeps... then no.
