Free Software that can create DVD slideshow?

  Ok.
  Hi all
  My father ask me to do something.
  He got about 100+ photos of his holiday trip.
  He want me to make them into a slideshow like thingy so he can play in on the DVD player connected to the TV.
  I try a few software but the software hanged at 99% during the process
  
  Any free software that can do that?

  Oh i see.
  That one can jitao insert one whole album of photos inside?
  Or need insert the photos 1 by 1?

  import whole album but have to arrange the pictures 1 by 1
  drag and drop.... quite fast.......
  then u can play with the animation and transition oso
  if u damn free u oso can put music

  Okie new problem.
  I done the video slideshow using windows movie maker
  Then when i play it on the TV using the DVD player.
  The video does not cover the entire screen of the TV.
  Anyone know why?

  An aspect ratio issue? Is your TV widescreen?

  Erm sorry.
  But how to check?
  My TV is the i think Sharp Aquos 32" one
