  Why when people give me links on msn and i click it, no window will pop up

  1. Open MSN Messenger
  
  2. Tools > Options
  
  3. On the left, select Security
  
  4. Check if this box is ticked - Allow links conversation windows and buddy list (sorry, me on WLM 9.0 Beta, but there's a similar option in earlier options of MSN)
  
  5. If it's ticked, untick this box
  
  6. Click OK to apply the settings
  
  If still nothing opens, make sure that Internet Explorer is your default browser.

  Then it's not possible for it to work. MSN doesn't work with Firefox and will not work with it. Same goes for all browsers.
  
  As long as it's not Internet Explorer, links will not open. Don't dream of getting it to work.
  
  It won't, and will not. But like all MS products, there will be workarounds. Some work, some don't. Sad to say, none worked for me. You go and try every solution yourself.

  Hmm I don't think you need to set IE as the default browser. Just keep it to Fx and change the other settings according to the instructions by anty and links in MSN convos should open in it.

  i can open links with firefox in msn....maybe you only clicked once?
