Need opinions on NEC notebook

Guys, I need your opinions on NEC notebook. I'm quite interested with the notebook above but I rarely heard of NEC users. Any NEC users can tell me how the notebook performs? My main concern is NEC is manufactured in China or Japan? Just curious, I dont want to get it if the quality build is bad. Any pros and cons might be helpful.

How fast is the processor exactly?
P/S: I am not a computer buff though -
looks okay to me, if you dont intend to play graphics intensive games on the laptop.

I had a friend with a NEC laptop, as far as I know the laptop is into its 2nd year of operations and still working fine. -

Which laptop brands have the best screen? My main purpose is to watch movies. Most important is the screen sharp. I know it depends on the user, but based on your exp, which one is better?

nowadays, all laptops come with the shiny reflective screen that is brighter but more glaring. so there's nothing to compare anymore...
