Long beep

I switch on my PC, i get a long beep and a blank screen.
my fan is running, my disk is running but the long beep keeps repeating itself.
i've googled for the problem and all replies seem to point to the RAM not seated in the mobo.
my ram is seated nicely in the mobo already, i've even removed and put it back in.
when i unplug the 4pin whatever from the mobo, the beeping stops and the fan is running but the pc doesn't boot.
when i switch on the main plug to my pc, the pc starts by itself.
usually i need to press the power on button.
anyone here know what else is wrong? -
Check your graphics card. If it's on-board, try getting an external one and see if it solves the problem.

Yup. If got spare slots, use another slot. Some slots just spoil for no reason.

even with the graphics card removed, i still get the long beep

Also depends on the BIOS you have.
Maybe you can check out BIOS Central.

from your previous post, u probably think its the DRAM.
if so, provide a solution if you have experienced a similar problem.
otherwise don't show me stuff i can find on google because i have already done it.
don't bother showing me the list of beeps because i've already looked through it.

Normally there's a sticker on the BIOS itself that tells you what BIOS you using.
What is the brand and model of your motherboard? -

Phoenix BIOS doesn't use such beeps if I'm not mistaken. This is a characteristic of AWARD BIOS.
What 4-pin stuff did you remove? Can you show a picture? -

isn't mine, i just grabbed it off the web.

LOL, that's the power supply.
Not plug in - no beep, but can't boot. Probably not enough power supplied.
Plugged in - got beep, but can't boot. Hardware error.
Do you have a spare PC?
Take out that card and slot in and boot up. If it's able to boot up, then your graphics card is fine. If no, your graphics card is most likely dead. -

The BIOS Central don't have any long beep error for Phoenix Bios.
I checked for you MSI website, seems like the manual provided by them don't give beep code errors too.

Maybe you can refer to your physical manual to see if there are any beep code errors.
If you have 2 pieces of RAM, you can leave 1 piece on everytime to see if either piece is working.
If you want to troubleshoot your PC on your own, you need lots of patience. If you don't have any, then just give it to the computer technician.
