its external... unplug and plug it in?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Check your graphics card. If it's on-board, try getting an external one and see if it solves the problem.
graphics card one slot niaOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Yup. If got spare slots, use another slot. Some slots just spoil for no reason.
Do you know the problem in the first place?Originally posted by kopiosatu:uh huh. tell me something i don't know, like a solution?
do YOU know the problem?Originally posted by maurizio13:Do you know the problem in the first place?
Else, what solution are you talking about?
What BIOS are you using?Originally posted by kopiosatu:do YOU know the problem?
from your previous post, u probably think its the DRAM.
if so, provide a solution if you have experienced a similar problem.
otherwise don't show me stuff i can find on google because i have already done it.
don't bother showing me the list of beeps because i've already looked through it.
if i knew what was wrong i wouldn't be here asking would i?
don't think i can check it now when it refuses to boot at all can i?Originally posted by maurizio13:What BIOS are you using?
Ermmm....Originally posted by kopiosatu:don't think i can check it now when it refuses to boot at all can i?
i can't even access bios
Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Phoenix BIOS doesn't use such beeps if I'm not mistaken. This is a characteristic of AWARD BIOS.
What 4-pin stuff did you remove? Can you show a picture?
graphics card might be dead?!?!?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:LOL, that's the power supply.
Not plug in - no beep, but can't boot. Probably not enough power supplied.
Plugged in - got beep, but can't boot. Hardware error.
Do you have a spare PC?
Take out that card and slot in and boot up. If it's able to boot up, then your graphics card is fine. If no, your graphics card is most likely dead.
Eh, if no graphics card + no on-board graphics card, no PCs will boot. It will give out this error.Originally posted by kopiosatu:graphics card might be dead?!?!?
wah lao when i first bought it, it cost me $800+
but u see, i unplugged my graphics card, i still get the long beep.
tamade, one sound for 2 possible errors.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Eh, if no graphics card + no on-board graphics card, no PCs will boot. It will give out this error.
