DVI port and S-video Out...

my pc has a DVI port and a S-video output,
i just wanna check if there's any way i can connect my PC to both my monitor and my LCD TV...
can i use a dvi splitter to connect the dvi cables from the TV and monitor to my PC..?
if so, will the image project on both TV and monitor or just one screen?
or can i just use a S-video cable to connect my tv to my PC?
but the resolution wouldn't be that good right?
