HDD Crash

  Hi guys,
  
  my hard disk just crashed today. I cannot boot up to Windows at all. Cant reformat too.. any ideas how to recover some of my data at my Desktop?
  the steps on how to do it? thanks

  You can repair Windows this way.
  
  But you will need to reinstall all your programs. Your files won't be lost.

  thanks Mayi ..! but it appears i cant even open my CDROM
  
  seems like the HDD is dead

  Can't open CD-ROM?
  
  Either the cable is loose or your CD-ROM drive died or a part of the motherboard is having problems.
