  No need.
  
  Start > Run and type in sfc /scannow
  
  Press Enter
  
  Then update Windows.

  No nth, aft it finish scanning it just disappear.

  If you do that, you won't lose your data, but all your programs will be lost.

  hello, i have the same problem, i did a system restore and it worked but after i installed Telus Antivirus , anti spywere and pop up blocked it doesnt work anymore, although i can acess my resolution settings and scrreen saver, i can't acess the panel one or desktop image

  Never heard of this antivirus program before. Uninstall it and see if it helps.
