buying RAM

  i'm thinking of buying RAM for my Compaq Presario V3136TU laptop, but the RAM that Compaq sells is damn ex.. is it possible to use kingston or other types of RAM providers?, i mean cheaper then Compaq not more Ex..

  do a check with cpuz and see what frequency your motherboard can take.
  
  then see simlim catalogues whether got your laptop ram.
  
  then buy and they will help you with it. best if you stress test your laptop afterwards though.

  can use otehr ram but performace won't b that good as same ram can dual channel or something? not too sure abt this..

  its a software used to find out detail info about the parts in ur com... yes u can buy ram like kingston or corsair from sim lim. use the software Cpuz to find out the frequency of ur ram first b4 proceeding there..

  sian, i scared my laptop sot diao cause of the 2 diff rams, eh i wan to add ram coz i wanna run windows vista home premium on my com and my com only has 512 mb of memory so maybe add another 1GB to make it faster

  jus take the ram to him and ask him watever necessary. oh ya pls go to those trusted shops. I reckon bell. v professional and patience and answered all my queries.
