getting a new com

  im going to get a new com.
  my current com is already 4 years old..
  
  anw im kindda noob at this.
  which brands are better and wat shd i look out for in a com?
  also, shd i use vista or continue xp?
  cos i heard alot of bad things about vista.

  just get vista lah. anyway now you wana find XP also pretty rare i think.

  Where got rare. XP now still selling ma. TS, unless you're getting a $3k comp, don't bother with Vista. It's one bloody CPU and RAM hogger that su(ks the soul out of your PC.
  
  Anyway, as I have referred the others to, look through the pricelists located at the link below before going down to Sim Lim Sq to have a general idea of the price of the PC you will like to get.

  If you are looking for brands, it will most likely be Vista. I haven't heard of anyone in Singapore able to downgrade to XP.
  
  If you custom build, it's still possible to use XP, and your own XP CD too. Just need to call up MS to re-register your XP.

  if u are getting a desktop, xp will still be much better than vista
