was recommended to try this software which is said to be able to boost your broadband connection.
The program works by optimizing internet-related parameters on your PC(s), allowing it to better utilize the bandwidth allocated by your ISP. The TCP Optimizer does not, in any way illegally uncap your ISP-provided modem, or circumvent allocated bandwidth.
it's easy to use. there is no installation required, just download and run.
find out more and download here.
http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.phpat the general settings,
- Choose your maximum Connection Speed from the slider bar (the maximum available bandwidth, in kilobits per second)
- Choose your Network Interface, or check to Modify All Network Adapters
- Pick "Optimal settings" from the radio-buttons near the bottom of the program
- Click on the "Apply changes" button and reboot
don't have to worry about making mistakes or whatever, to revert any changes made to your system using the TCP Optimizer, go in its "File" pull-down menu and choose "Restore Windows Default Settings".
the above settings should work for most users. there are more advance and custom settings so i was wondering whether anyone here used this software before and will be more knowledgeable in guiding us for even better tweaking.
