Custom build or Dell desktop..

  thanks for the suggestions, i wanna get one like can last for 1 to maybe 2 years before upgrading again.. so might get a better graphic card or sth..

  You will like Leopard, I can almost guarantee. The only thing is not to run MS Office on Leopard, apparently it crashes more than it works. Wait for the 2008 version to come out.

  Unless it's able to make use of DirectX 10 well. Otherwise, DirectX 9 and XP will work fine.

  Yes. There's an MSN for Mac... but I think it's very outdated. You might want to use Mac's own Messenger instead.

  Since TS is gaming, leopard would be useless to him.For a budget of 1800, can get quite a decent gaming DIY computer(on windows).
