  I think it's true.
  
  If I never read wrongly, MS is doing away with WGA, essentially making it free (free as in pirated, not free like Linux).

  MS makes money from those OEM com manufacturer (dell acer etc) and those corporate licensing, they can afford to let home users to have the *ahem* version
