add or remove programs

  how come when me remove aka uninstall programs.. can still see the folder in program files? sometimes got things in the folders too!!!
  
  is it safe to delete them from program files after removing them from add or remove programs?

  for most programs, it is safe to delete the directories.

  for games, usually it is because there are saved games within the directories....
  
  for applications, usually it is because there is like personalised settings within the directories.
  
  Yes, it is safe to just del the folders unless any other problem is sharing the files but more likely... not.

  Some programs don't uninstall cleanly that's why it stays.
  
  During the uninstallation, you may also receive prompts that some files could not be deleted. You need to delete those manually. Restart your computer then delete them manually.
