Comp error

  Hi,
  
  my laptop was switched on for awhile then suddenly it changed to some fatal error thing (blue screen). I tried to start normally and start with the last settings, still can't work..

  hard to tell...try to see what's the error msg on the blue screen first.

  now no blue screen.. only got the black one that ask you which way you want to start your comp.. i choose the last settings and start normally.. both also no use..

  when u try to start normally, they should blue screen b4 restarting rite? try to see the error written there. maybe tt can give a clue on what failed?

  errr it only showed for like 1s.. abit hard to see

  Right-click My Computer > Properties > Advanced - Startup and Recovery - Settings > System Failure > Uncheck Automatically Restart.

  I encounter before, it just won't boot. Re-installed Windows over without formatting, got back everything. But if you can't re-install means have to format liao.

  2. What hardware you add or remove?
  
  3. Does booting to Last Known Good Configuration work?
  
  4. Lastly, do you have the XP CD?

  I didn't install/uninstall, add/remove anything. I was just typing stuffs, left it there for awhile and it became like that..
  
  Booting to last know good configuration doesn't work either..
  
  And no I don't have the XP CD. sigh
