AVG Problem

  After 31st Nov's update, my AVG detects one of the files in my com as a virus file
  
  Trojan horse IRC/BackDoor.SdBot3.WFN
  
  that file is necessary for the game im playing to run and it's in .dll format
  AVG prompts me everytime i start the game to either ignore, heal or move to vault
  beri irritating leh
  is there anyway to stop it from prompting other than closing AVG or uninstalling?

  EDIT:
  some updates
  when i try to copy the file (.dll) or upload it to a website to scan for virus, it says:
  

  .dll
  You don't have permission to open this file.
  
  Contact the file owner or an administrator to obtain permission.

  What is the file name? Can't copy and paste, can type out right?

  If the scan results are OK, I will see if there are some ways to contact AVG.
  
  Also, where did you download this file? If it's a cracked or patched game... AVG will alert you...

  Anti virus programs are known to have false-positive finds

  i tried typing out the name liao
  but i get this from VirusTotal

  and yes i know it is a false positive
  the problem now is that when i try to run the game, AVG will immediately detect, i choose ignore, then after the game load finish i will get a "cannot connect to server" message
  im sure the server is online and not down
  
  the file is not some cracked or patched thingy
  it comes with the client of the game, meaning it is inside the game folder when it's installed

  Hmm...I think the results say that the file wasn't uploaded to their servers for a scan at all. Try disabling your firewall temporarily beforehand.

  i only got windows firewall on
  and it works when i tried uploading other files

  yes and i exitted AVG completely
  when avg is not running, the file wont get detected but i still cant connect to the server

  AntiVir can be more aggressive than AVG.

  Last time use AntiVir 6, not bad, upgrading to 7 was disaster.

  Yes, it has lots of false warnings, but that's due to heuristics. It no longer detects malicious files by signatures, but rather using some patterns of viruses to detect.
  
  Caused lots of false alarms, just tell it to ignore.

  it keeps popping up everytime i run my game
  nvm i try some other antivirus
