my com Ethernet port got problem

  hi i just bought a new computer that runs on vista
  when i plug the blue wire that connects to my router to get internet, the com do not have the green light blinking out how??

  no the back of the com also got one green light there tell u that it is connected

  i not sure abt vista, but try
  
  start > control panel > network connections
  
  see whether the ethernet device is enabled anot lor.

  how many ports are there? if there are 2 of those ports, pluck in the other one.

  i suspect ur com's ethernet port faulty
  if u have a spare ethernet cable, try using that one
