Problem with my PC

  Hi guys,
  
  I need some help regarding my PC. I am operating on Windows XP. Recently, when I boot up my PC, an error message appeared,' The instruction at 0x100146d2 reference memory at 0x01127f1f. The memory could not be read'
  
  Overall there seem to be no problem, I can still run all the programs I want to. However, after I opened the My Computer icon to access my D: drive but i cannot. The same happened from all the icons and folders in the My Computer Window.
  
  Can I ask if anyone know of this problem and how to solve it?

  Can I get a better description of your symptoms.
  
  Does another window opens and ask you to select what program you want to open D drive with?

  Seems similar to my friend's com a few days ago which was hit by Kavo. Thumbdrive virus are getting popular nowadays.

  Not really. Wait for Anty's reply. Meanwhile, scan your computer with an anti-virus like Kaspersky.

  Run it and restart your computer.
  
  Also do the following:
  
  Copy and paste the following blue lines into Notepad. Make sure Notepad is maximized before saving the file.
  
  regedit /e C:\look.txt "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2"
  start notepad C:\look.txt
  
  Click on File > Save As.
  
  In the File Name box, copy and paste in look.bat
  
  In the Save As Type box, select All Files from the drop-down list.
  
  Click Save.
  
  Double click on look.bat to run it. Notepad will open shortly. Please post the contents of this Notepad file in your next reply.

  check the autorun file in D:. see whats the cmd
