Double Click too fast?

  some times, when i just want to click and select a folder, it opens up the folder.
  
  anyway to solve this?

  1) Try Clicking slower
  2)Tweak your mouse
  Go to control panel -- printers and other hardware -- mouse -- Button's tab -- At the "double click speed" section -- Change it to fast (max)
  
  this way only if u double click very quickly then it would respond by giving you a double click. if you double click very slowly, it will not respond.

  hmm, i changed it to max already, and sometimes, when i just click one time, the folder still opens.
  
  is there any other method

  Most likely you are using single click or your mouse is hyper sensitive.
  
  1. Open My Computer.
  
  2. Click on Tools > Folder Options
  
  3. Select the General tab
  
  4. Check that this button is not selected: Single click to open an item. If it is, change to Double click to open an item.
  
  5. Click OK to apply the settings.

  Fast. Otherwise you will face the problems that you are facing now.
