Can anyone help, why my router signal strength show excellent and also show " limited access " ?

star hub technician came and check and say nothing wrong with their lines .. but I still get this limited conectivity thingy ... is there something wrong with my wireless router ??

I think too many connections from your comp. When the signal fail, your comp will auto try look for another connection.
Best if you set your comp to auto connect and get from one source: your router only. -
my home is only one pc and two laptops ... and not all log in at the same time ... last time yes but not now... Limited access probably means your network connections has broken.
Most of the time it's caused by a timeout error to connect to your network. Right clicking on the network icon (near the clock) and select Repair should resolve the issue.
If you receives this problem intermittently, you will need to check your router settings. If you have changed some values there, reset it back to the default.
If you are using Vista... please take note that Vista takes a freaking long time to connect to the wireless network. In the meantime, it shows a limited access. It takes about one minute or so for it to recover before you will have full net access. It's just a Vista problem, waiting for Microsoft to figure out their problems. -

... limited connectivity usually refers to "LAN OK" but "No Internet" (thus "limited", limited to LAN)
That is to say, your computer can talk to the router but there is no access to the internet...
The modem cannot connect to the ISP, Starhub.
Since Stargub says there is no problem on their side... then the suspect would be your modem...
... junk you modem and get one that connects persistently to the internet. The modem connects persistently, not your computer. That is to say, if the signal drops, the Modem tries to reconnect by itself...
... buy a Modem with built in router and wireless... and persistent connectivity... -
The router is new and I got a repeater to boost the signal but still cannot work... in the past, the speed can be very slow .. I give up leow ... I am thinking of getting M1 broadband ... any M1 user can comment if it is good ?
