Problem compiling

  kinda rusty at java...long time never touch..
  
  so just now tried compiling in command prompt...following error occured..
  'javac' is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. having JDK 6 update 3 in my pc..
  
  how?
  
  do enlighten me..

  use the path command

  double check your path again...
  
  it's not a problem with java...just that you're not able to access the compiler from your current directory

  revive old thread arh...
  
  gonna handover my laptop to new guy..so uninstalling jdk..
  
  notice that after wat i do above...
  i cant run dos commands like tracert or ipconfig..
  
  how to revert back to default arh?via system and environment variables?

  ahh...answered my own question
  
  change back the path to c:\windows\system32
