Ms office prob

  hi all.
  I'm asking on behalf of my friend. so here goes,
  
  she just bought an Asus laptop (i forgot wat model). it came installed with Vista business. in it, it has MS office 2007 but it says that she can use it for only 25 times only.
  my question is, after the 25 times (just open the prog (eg: word) counts as once!), what will happen? will it lock up?

  It's probably a trail version of Microsoft Office, after the 25th usage, she will have to pay in order to use.

  Usually, I will remove trial programs so as to save me the headache.
  
  If he doesn't need to edit, just get the reader off MS website. Posted in the Freeware sticky.

  somehow me thinks that there is a way to bypass or fake the "check"
  hmm... edit registry?
  
  or just download from somewhere which is free and is the full version, including word, excel, powerpoint, access, outlook etc.
  that is if u know lah

  after 25th time either oni certain functions can be used or the whole prog cannot be used
  u will be prompted to pay for the full license if u wanna continue using

  If edit registry can bypass the check, MS will fall. MS won't make things so easy...

  It's a trial version. After 25 Times. You will not be able to type, nor save. Just view Docs, ppt ect.
  
  Yes it will lock up.
  
  You can either request for a 90day Cd key Free from microsoft or buy a Office suit and key in the cd key.
  
  If you would like a 90day Cd key, go to start, type in "Microsoft Office activation" there should be a programme. Click on it and follow the steps.
