Some questions on overclocking

Hi all.
1. Graphic Card Memory
I have an ati x700 and i would like to overclock the memory space from 256 to something higher. but my bios don't allow me to edit the number. it just skip through when i arrow down to the option.
2. RAM
I'm using 2 DDR rams, both at 256mb, trying to make something better out of them. No idea where should i start or look out for..

You want to overclock, you need to know your hardware well... if you don't know hardware basics... I will suggest that you leave them alone.
Because the chances of you borking it is higher than you could repair. -
Firstly you can't increase the memory by overclocking, you are only overclocking the speed of the memory and the processing core.
The X700 is very overclockable by flashing the card BIOS but i won't tell you how because you dun seem to have the slightest idea of what is OCing and you would more likely end up with a bricked card

I read about flashing. 1)A simple way to overclock your GFX would be to use the ATItools.Go google for it and install.
2)In the second step, you increase the memory speed and the core speed slowly(preferably in 10MHZ increments) until you start seeing artifacts appearing on your screen like these
3)Then proceed to decrease the memory speed and the core speed one at each time until the artifacts disappear.Now this is halfway mark.The clockspeeds that you have now may be unstable during gaming so you have to run benchmarks
4)Try downloading 3Dmark03 anhat 3Dmark does not crash or show artifacts during the test.d 3DMark05 and run it in loops.The rough gauge should be 2-3 hours, make sure t
