setting up wireless network with Singnet

Hi, I've got a singet connection and recently purchased a wireless router (linksys WRT54G) to set up a wireless network in my home. But no matter how hard I try, I can nvr get them to work. Any help?

Connect modem line from modem to router.
Switch it on.
if u mean getting your wireless devices to work. It might be mac filtering. -

On a Linksys router...
There are some ports...
There will be 4 ports which are side-by-side together... and another one that is lonely at the side...
Your Ethernet cable (the one that looks telephone cable, but is slightly bigger) will connect to one of these 4 ports... and connect it to your PC...
Your telephone cable will connect to this lonely port and plug to the telephone port on the wall...
Log in to the router and start configuring... should be able to work. -
and your os is vista or xp? coz from what i know vista only support some router only...

is ur wireless enabled first?
go to ur default gateway, then look for ur connection setting, see is wireless enabled -
go start |run| type| cmd
then type 'ipconfig', press enter
open up ur internet explorer then type the default gateway shown in the cmd, into ur address bar
then click on connection status, u will come to a new page, then on the top click on home network

Funny..i also same problem Ytd still can one..now dono why the LED signal for wireless isn even lighted up

Hi guys, i found the solution. Thanks for those who helped. Its not working cos the i.p address of both the modem and router was the same. Once i change the adress of the router everything worked perfectly.
